One of my friends told me to look at each day as another day closer to normalcy. If you’re like me my mind has been running about all the ways life will be different after this, both good and bad. I’ve been wallowing and thinking about everything I am missing so much but instead I thought it would be a good idea to reframe it, so I’m making a bucket list. I’ve had so much time to think more about what I love, what makes me happy and what I value in life. I’m making a list that I can come back to with all of the things I am looking forward to/will do after all of this. Some I can even start now! π
My Post Quarantine Bucket List
β· Hug my family extra tight when I see them again β₯οΈ
β· Learn recipes from my fabulous Nonna π©π»βπ³
β· Check off places from my “NYC bucket list” when I can π
β· TRAVEL!! I think this is probably on everyone’s once the time is safe! I want to travel so so much now! I think my best experiences have been that “just do it” moment when you buy the ticket. My travel spots include: California, Hawaii, Iceland, Puglia (again hehe), Italy, Paris, and more that I can’t think of! π«
β· Reschedule my girls trip with Olivia π―ββοΈ
β· Keep writing letters to friends and family π
β· Take Sadie on a walk πΎ
β· Take my Nana and Papa out to eat with cousins π½
β· Boston trip with Joe to visit all of our old favorite spots π
β· Visit Harry Potter world!! π§π»ββοΈ
β· Celebrate missed birthdays – all the passed spring and summer celebrations won’t be missed! π₯³
β· Go out with my girlfriends and not worry that it’s getting “super late” β°
β· Make dinner with my mom and dad π
β· Not cancel plans as much π
β· Beach picnics – a REAL picnic. Tons of snacks, wine, cheese, crackers, sandwiches, cherries, a book, and a good pal to hang with π§Ίπ
β· Have a party with each side of my family with all the cousins, a friends party too π
β· Go to more workout classes. Workout classes are where I thriiiive and drip with sweat. A self motivated gym session usually ends up with me watching some show while walking uphill on the treadmill…opps. So while these can be pricey I feel awesome after and need to do more of it πͺπ»
β· Visit the Cape more and put my damn phone away for it π±
β· Get all dressed up and go out and dance forever and ever!! I’m talking full glam, pretty dress, no end time going out ππ»
β· Pick flowers. While this is a no no in NYC I have loved picking wildflowers on our walks in Utah πΌ
β· Join a soccer/lacrosse team. I got this idea from my friend Karina! Once it’s safe I think this would be a great thing to help keep me active and maybe even make some new friends π₯β½οΈ
β· Quahog with my dad. My dad is such a down to earth, nature and ocean loving kinda guy. I’d love to take a day just us to go fish, quahog, and learn more from him π£
β· Go on more coffee dates and just sit and talk and talk and talk. These are my favorite times to catch up with people βοΈ
β· GET A PUPPY (This would be the worst and perfect time for a puppy. Since I’m a teacher I have always said that summer would be the best time since I’m not working and will have time to train the little babe. But….I want to parade my little puppy around to fam and friends so they could enjoy too so ahhhh next year maybe!) πΆ
β· Start a YouTube πΉ
β· More yummy cocktails and lobster roll kinda girl nights because why not? π¦
β· See Lauv & Billie Eilish live πΆ
β· Really invest into decorating our apartment π
β· Make more of an effort to shop local π
β·Make time to read π
β· Grow a garden π±
β· Some pampering! I would love a hair cut, facial and gel manicure haha π§πΌββοΈ
β· Finish my spring cleaning and donate π§Ή
β· Print out pictures/make a photo album. I love having hard copies of my photos and in a photo album even better. I usually send a bunch to walgreens photo department to be printed! Super easy! π·
βSometimes our lives have to be completely shaken up, changed
and rearranged to relocate us to the place weβre meant to be.β
This bucket list is just a few things floating around in my head that I am eager to go do once life returns to normal again. I hope you can maybe add some of these ideas to your list. My list is also something for me to look forward to. Stay safe!!
Always,
Madison
