Makeup, skin care, hair care – oh my. I have so many products for all of these different categories but I figured I would start with some of my makeup favorites! Below is what I have in quarantine with me 🙂
Top 5
Glossier lash slick – If you get one thing. THIS IS IT. The best mascara to date. This is a formula fiber – meaning that it creates fibers to attach to your lash for that extension look. Taking it off is so easy it’s the ONLY mascara that isn’t that gross tar goop removal that needs a double scrub to get off.
Nars Powermatte Lip Pigment – Get this in the shade “American Woman.” Anyone who I’ve let use this lipstick ends up getting it for themselves. It’s the perfect color that goes with any occasion.
Shape Tape – The hype is real with this one. shape tape anything. I have some darker unde-eye circles and spots that I always try to cover and nothing works the way this stuff does. It covers anything!!! I love the foundation and concealer!
Moroccan oil – I got the small size from sephora and I still have so so much left. Don’t let the price tag scare you & if it does just buy the small one linked here for $15! This stuff (even the little one) lasts FOREVER. Just use a small pea size drop and your hair is hiny and smells amazing. SO amazing that one of my students used to smell my hair every morning…and he could tell if I wasn’t wearing it. “Not today Ms. Morini….why not today?”
Hamptons Weekend Pallette – This palette is perfect if you are an on the go person. It has a highlight, blush and bronzer all in one! Plus a mirror. This is great to toss in your bag and know you have three things in one!
Supergoop Setting Spray – This stuff is amazing for summer. My moisturizer has SPF in it but when you need to reapply and maybe have makeup on during the summer…ladies you know. Instead of slathering on lotion and messing up your makeup you can just give a quick spray of this. It smells so good too!
Face
When it comes to brushes I can’t seem to justify spending over $20 on a brush so I lean towards brush sets for a decent price! I love the first two I linked below! I also love love the beauty blender! I linked two dupes below for it. I always try to clean my brushes when I can – because they get covered in a build up of makeup. Brush cleaner and a cleaning mat too! (Cleaning your brushes is soooo important!)
Foundation
Shape tape is worth the hype! It covers soooo much! I have tried & loved all of these below. However, with my skin I have noticed that not using a crazy amount of foundation anymore has been making all the difference. So for now I use any of these below if I need to cover a spot or hide my dark circles. In my skincare post I’m going to add my favorite tinted moisturizers! 🙂
Highlight
I use the glossier highlight stick and love it! I also use the weekender palette’s highlight! Linked here.
Bronzer
My favorite is the Bronzi Drops from Drunk Elephant! They give you the perfect summer glow! I also love the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer. This stuff has a light hint of warm chocolate smell and gives you such a natural look. I also love the bare minerals one!
Eyes
Me trying to do eyeliner is interesting to say the least. Here I am on my way to the party with my raccoon eyes.
Mascara
For a cheap one I love this one. $4.99! The original mascara!
Lips
Top 2 are NARS – American Woman (everyone I let try goes out to buy it) and the Lippe from Drunk Elephant.
Scent
I wear, You by glossier and it’s amazing! Apparently it is unique to you so it smells different on everyone! I think how you test a great scent is by people asking “what is the name of what you’re wearing?!” I also love my perfume from Tiffany’s (it was only a sample so I am unsure of the name!)
