Hi there!! I am Madison! Welcome to my blog. I decided to create this blog to have a creative outlet and build a community to share. Moves With Madison is moving with me through the motions…through the ups, downs, the good, the bad, annnd sometimes the ugly. So here we go! Thank you for stopping by and thank you for following along. I hope this can be a place you come to for some inspiration, tips, and even a bit of advice when you need it. xx

How old are you? Born July 12, 1996, cancer baby!
Where are you from? I am originally from Massachusetts! I absolutely loved growing up on the East Coast. My entire family is over here which makes it really special to me. I love being by my family and living in Boston feels like the best of both worlds. Plus the beaches, the mountains, the seasons, sports, and amazing schools. I adore visiting the Cape. It doesn’t get better – minus the whole winter thing.
How do you edit your photos? I love the Tezza app! Sometimes I dabble in Lightroom and make my own presets too. My favorite Tezza filters are Lush, Vintage, & Creamy. Lately I have been barely editing – maybe touching up the brightness here and there.
What did you study in school? I studied Elementary Education and Global Studies for my bachelor’s degree and then got my masters in Education for Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University. I had gotten into Columbia for grad school which I was over the moon about while living in NYC at the time but I had a lot going on in my life at the time. Plus returning to Lesley meant they would pay for a good chunk of my degree and I was determined to pay it on my own. I may be going back again….because I am literally crazy and think if you can go to school you should never ever stop learning. Grad school + working full time was absolutely exhausting and 0/10 would recommend it but I truly love being a student and learning more.
I want to start a blog, youtube, something creative, but I’m scared of what people will think? You get one life – just have fun. What people say about me has nothing to do with me and doesn’t concern me. I love when people try something new, get creative, and branch out. Life is too short to care about what others think. Also I am a firm believer that if anyone is saying anything negative and giving you a hard time that says more about them than you.
What is a quote you live by? I think that a quote I live by is: “Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.”
Shockingly this was my senior quote from high school and it still sticks with me. I think the little moments in life are the most precious. A walk with your dog, seeing fireflies, a drive in date, cooking with your grandma. All of those small moments are the big things to me and when I have a day of a lot of meaningful little things strung together….oooo that is my kinda day. I also love this Rupi Kaur quote,
“Most importantly love, like it’s the only thing you know how at the end of the day all this means nothing. This page, where you’re sitting, your degree, your job, the money. Nothing even matters, except love and human connection. Who you loved and how deeply you loved them. How you touched the people around you and how much you gave them.” I like to think I am a very simple and old soul kinda human. All of that little stuff and connection makes the difference to me and it’s really easy to get caught up in the superficial that can make us unhappy in the end.
How would you describe your style? I think my style totally ranges. I love a casual, cozy and athletic look. I love the preppy/classy New England looks. 90’s chic! I really go with what I’m feeling. But I love basics and simple looks! I love Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s vibe.
How tall are you and what sizes are you? I’m about 5′ 6″! Sizing rages a bit for me depending on the brand. I am typically a xs/s. Usually a 0/2! In jeans I wear a 23W. If I share fashion or outfit stuff I try to list the size for reference to help you shop!
