Did someone say sangria? Let’s rewind the tape to when my sister was 18 and accidentally drinking large amounts of the sangria that she thought was juice in the fridge…it’s THAT good! Anything sweet and lacking a huge alcohol kick is right up my alley when it comes to a drink. Thinking of something to bring to Thanksgiving? Keep reading for the perfect fall sangria recipe!
Recipe for Apple Cider Sangria
Serves 6
Prep time : under 10 minutes! (YAY!)
Ingredients
- 2 honeycrisp apples, chopped
- 1 pear, chopped
- 1 orange (sliced)
- ¼ cup pomegranate seeds (or cranberries) – I used a whole pomegranate for this!
- cinnamon sticks
- 1 bottle of your favorite white wine
- 2½ cups fresh apple cider – I added much more apple cider in! (Probably closer to 3 1/2 cups)
- ½ cup vodka (optional)
- 1 cup club soda (add right before serving!)
Instructions
- Place all of your chopped fruit into your pitcher: apples, pears, orange slices, pomegranate seeds! Add in cinnamon sticks for extra flavor.
- Pour in your favorite white wine, apple cider, and vodka (optional) and mix well.
- Leave your sangria to sit in the fridge for several hours before serving! This will let the flavor have time to sit (& give your fruit some time to soak up that wine!)
- Add club soda before serving!
- Enjoy with family and friends! Cheers!
Cheers to family, friends and a moment to appreciate all that we have in this sweet life.
Always,
Madison
